v0.1.3 Automatic Tone Mapping Info
HDR Demo » Devlog
This is an update to trouble shoot a strange issue where the build appears to display color ranges it shouldn't.
My theory is that Unity or peoples monitors support some kind of dynamic tone mapping to make sure a full color range can be displayed even if it's not as bright.
As such a display with a peak brightness of 300 nits will still be read by unity as being 1500 nits. But I'm not sure if it's unity or the display itself.
Things like this is why feedback is CRUCIAL! If you tried this tool before please consider trying it again and seeing if automatic tonemapping is on for you. After some feedback I'll determine if this is something that can be forcibly turned off.
