Quickie Biggie Update Post: Itch PayPal work around, Animators Hired, Back to Dev, Lots of Work to do!


Hey peeps, sorry I’m late with the update post this month but I’ve been hard at work since the start of this month and couldn't find a good time to take a break.

That said I will keep this shorter than usual. Let’s get right into it.

Last Month

Still not great for Animation for me, I got one set of 17 animations done but also needed to do some other stuff with writing and general management.

The good news is, I’ve hired an animator! I plan to make a proper more detailed announcement of who and simple samples soon. But they've been doing very well so far and filled in a lot of dialogue animations I needed!

In fact, I’ve hired two animators, one just recently and I plan to hire a third. Obviously, this might get a bit expensive, so I’ll be leaning on my publisher for help which I generally haven't so far. All and all this has all been possible with your support! Really, I guess I just needed to be less stubborn and hire a damn animator instead of doing it all myself!

You might be wondering why all this urgency, and as I might have mentioned before I have goals and deadlines to meet. I need a certain amount of content done for the steam release and I want it ready ASAP. But I needed to come to terms with the fact I’m still the one that puts everything together so when:

· The UI needs a full revamp

· 8+ new sex sim scenes need implementation

· Dialogue needs reimplementation for the new animations

· There are still missing features to the daily system

· Adding cloth sim to all outfit items that need it

· Writing is not near as far along as it needs to be

· The writing still needs to be implemented when it’s done

· I haven’t gotten to VA in a long time

· Polish, Bug fixing and stability

· And so, so much more that basically hinges on me…

Spending another month on animation is just unacceptable. So, I’m just going for broke and getting it done. And that’s not the only thing.

Next issue like I mentioned before I’m behind on my goals for writing, as such this week my goal was spending significant time making sure any planning needed for writing is done before focusing on dev again. One main complication was sex sim dialogue, and some other important changes and focuses to story. Once I’m happy, I’ll have more to show to higher tiers who get more internal previews.

Things are so close to the vision I had in mind; I just can’t afford to narrow my focus like that. I have to make sure it’s all coming together the way it should, that it’s enjoyable to play, and engaging story wise.

Additionally, as things get closer to this steam release, I’ll be pushing more in marketing too, I hired smuggles from Monsterbox to help out with this. One idea they had was a small bundle to help people who need to use PayPal be able to support the game on itch. So please check that out if you’ve had issues up until now on itch. There should also be some big page updates coming as well to reflect the new logo and assets.

Lastly, dev progress was made thanks to Kaitou, who rewrote certain aspects of the outfit system so we can now support cloth sim. This should help with visual presentation and certain outfit types a lot!

This month

As I mentioned earlier this week I’m focusing on writing, and this will hold until I feel like things are on a good path to my writing goals that pushing to get it done is feasible. After that I’ll be back on dev.

My goal this month is to release a new build but I’m not 100% on that. The reason being is late in the month I may favor implementing content or functionality over the release. Or the release will be an “[experimental]” class I’m just concerned things aren’t stable enough that a release like that is feasible as quickly as it would need to come out to not take up too much time. Cause a build like that really just means I skip most polish.

So, I can’t promise but I’ll do my best, if it comes expect maybe a new sex sim position to be included, and some new outfit system functions.

I also really want to work on some outfit stuff, but I’m not sure if I’ll get to it this month. Some of it is needed for plot reasons, so we’ll see.

1 question, will the ppl who got it on itch (the donation version) will it update along with the game? or will we need to buy it again on steam?

No but seriously, its cool having news about your game, i been really interesed in it from a couple of months now and im really courious about how you develop it, good luck!

Not sure if this is a good place for asking/suggesting new game mechanics but it would be really nice to be able to display the clothes partially tooken off/pulled such as panties around ankle, pulled up skirt and the likes when customizing since some of the clothes don't have this function or act differently. 

other than that thank you for your hard work and I really do look forward to seeing the final product along with The Couch when you done with that too.

I'll note that one,  it's feasible as a QoL feature.
